Integrate yourself into the working life of our church!  Your energy and dedication can be used in worship the following ways:

Acolytes.  Great opportunity for youth to be involved in the service.  Acolytes start the service by lighting the candles on the altar.  As the final hymn is sung, they extinguish the candles and follow the pastor down the center aisle. The Sunday School classes take most of the responsibility for this service.

Acoustics.  Work in the sound booth recording the service, tend to the sound needs of special performances. Youth will have the opportunity to participate in this service beginning in the Fall of 2010.

Altar Guild.  Assist in beautifying the sanctuary and dress the altar appropriately for the liturgical season.

Child Care.  Professional child caregivers supervise children from infants through 2 years during the service, along with volunteers from the congregation, in the education building of the church.

Communion Stewards.  Provide bread and grape juice for communion on the first Sunday of the month, assist in the distribution. This year, students from our junior high group will partner with adults in this function.

Lay Leadership.  Serve on any one of the committees under Programs and/or Lay Leadership.  Preach on Laity Sunday.

Music.  Minister to God's people through music.

Scripture Readers.  Read scripture at the service.

Sunday School Teacher.  Teach Christian principles to our youth through crafts, stories, discussion and drama. Students who have completed Confirmation participate in this program.

Ushers.  Greet worshippers as they enter the sanctuary, distribute bulletins, collect the offering, and direct the congregation to receive communion.  Youth participate as ushers on the third Sunday of each month.
