The Outreach Ministry team makes us aware of world-wide missions and areas of concern in our own neighborhood. We believe in hands-on mission projects where the people of our church can interact with people in need, who are sometimes our own neighbors.
Ebola Crisis in West Africa: UMCOR stands ready to fund projects such as construction of isolation units, training and public education and providing medical supplies. Stop Hunger Now is the organization we supported for our 2014 Easter Offering. On April 5, we packaged 10,000 meals to be distributed overseas by Stop Hunger Now. In 2015 we packaged 22,000 meals. We will be supporting again in 2016, join us on May 21 at Madison High School, we are going big! our aim is to package 30,000 meals for this great organization.
Through The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), the not-for-profit international humanitarian aid organization of The United Methodist Church, we have been able to help earthqauke victims in Japan and Haiti, victims of famine in the Horn of Africa, and contribute to other immediate needs as they arise.
