Fair Trade Products

The United Methodist Church in Madison is a distributor of fair trade coffee, tea, chocolate and other mostly organic food products from around the world. We sell fair-trade certified Equal Exchange brand products, which ensures that the growers in Latin America, Africa, Asia and the United States receive a fair price for their crops. The coffee is shade-grown, which preserves bio-diversity and the environment.

This project is aimed at helping to lift farmers and their families out of poverty, one bag of coffee at a time. The church does not profit from the sales. Our goal is to keep prices as low as practicable so that we sell more product to support the farmers.

Sales are held after the Family worship service during coffee hour (10:45 am) on the first Sunday of each month. You may purchase products at any time by emailing Kellie.
