SMALL GROUPS ARE A PLACE TO FORM SUPPORTIVE FRIENDSHIPS AND HELP EACH OTHER GROW IN FAITH AND SERVICE.

  • Walking Group

    The walking group meet every Thursday at 9:00 am. (weather permitting).  This is a low to moderate intensity level group.  Our goal is to enjoy the outdoors, each other and get some exercise.   Contact Lisa Carballo for more information

  • Book Study

    Bible studies and book discussions. We continue to have book studies throughout the year.  To find out what studies are happening currently, you can call the church office 973 377 1231 or email: church@umcmadison.org.

  • Cooking Group

    The cooking group meet every 6/8 weeks.  We share cooking ideas by demonstrating any dish of choice.  The evening is relaxed and casual and all about being together whilst sharing some of our favorite recipes.  Join us!

  • Heart and Hand

    Heart and Hand is a group for all women of all ages. 

    This low-key group meet periodically for breakfast or dinner. They also prepare meals and care packages to share with members and friends who are ill or facing difficulties. Upcoming events will be posted on the homepage. All are welcome to join us!



  • United Methodist Women

    United Methodist Women meet monthly for devotions and discussion of material on the national mission studies for the year. They also plan several outings during the year.  Upcoming events will be posted on the homepage.

  • Taco Tuesday

    UMC in Madison also hosts a weekly Taco Tuesday lunch for non-seminary graduate students at the University.  As a United Methodist Seminary, Drew offers a number of opportunity for those in the Divinity program to connect and find community.  Taco Tuesday is every Tuesday at noon for everyone to enjoy and lead by Scott Ostlund.

  • Prayer Chain

    The prayer chain prays for needs as they are communicated to the church.  You can contact the office by emailing church@umcmadison.org or calling 973 377 1231

  • Men's Breakfast

    Men's Breakfast meet at the Nautilus Diner every Wednesday morning at 6:45 am., men from the church and community gather at the Nautilus Diner (97 Main Street in Madison) for fellowship, prayer and a great breakfast. Join them anytime.

  • Acorn Bible Art Class

    This group is possibly the cutest group ever!  These kids join us on Friday mornings.  It's attended by Acorn Academy children (2-5 years old) interested in learning about Jesus in a fun, relaxed atmosphere, they get to listen to a scripture reading and participate in a small craft. We love hearing them around the church especially when they sing around the piano with Pastor Robb.
